Well, it turns out that many of us share that same thoughts because we’re all great minds! However, there is no legal way of getting World of Warcraft for free. But Private Servers are something which aren’t really illegal nor are they legal in any sense too.

A Private Server, like it’s name suggests, is a privately owned server running the full version of World of Warcraft. Most Private Servers provide their service entirely for free! In fact, I think there might not even be a Private Server which asks for money, except in the form of a donation. But you can never be too sure.

I’m pretty sure you’re really interested in this article. Well, how do you get a Private Server? It’s simple. I’ll break it down into steps for easy understanding.

1. Download the World of Warcraft Installer. This is how you’ll be getting the game onto your computer. Either download the trial version through the main website, or find other sites that offer the Installers. Please make sure that you have a competent internet connection as the gameis really huge! World of Warcraft is 3.2GB alone while Wrath of the Lich King is 7.3GB! See the difference? Therefore, get enough HDD space and a good connection.
   
2. After you have World of Warcraft on your computer search for a website providing Private Servers. I, personally, play using World of Warcrafth: Arthas. It’s a pretty good Private Server Provider (http://wow.dsl.net.pk).’
   
3. The Private Server provider will usually have instructions on what to do next. Mostly, all you need to do is locate a file called realmlist.wtf and open it with text document. Remove all its contents and replace them with the ones told to you by the Private Server Provider.
   
4. Congratulations! You may now create an account in that Private Server Provider’s website and log in to play!
